Dave has been sailing and racing sailboats since he was 13. Raised on Bainbridge Island, by the age of 15 Dave already had 5 boats, several he built himself. He has raced boats from C-Larks, International 505's to 35'+ boats, his favorite racing now is summer evening buoy racing. Dave has extensive experience sailing & cruising in the Pacific Northwest from the Columbia River to Broughton Island. A graduate of the University of Washington, Dave just wrapped up a 40 year career in Forestry, the last 4 years as Assistant Region Manager for Business and Operations for the Washington State Department of Natural Resources. Dave has been involved in the boating communities of Longview and Anacortes and is currently the Commodore of the Anacortes Yacht Club. You are mostly likely to see Dave and his wife Pat cruising around the San Juan's in their 36' sailboat Wildfire.
