Rich and Lynn Start their dream

After six years of planning and two years of prep, Rich and Lynn Lewis are departing on their sailing trip south, then west. Their plan is to go to Newport, OR for a couple of days (depending on weather), then down to central and southern California. They will stay around San Diego for about a month, and then cross into Mexico at the end of October, ending up in La Paz, Baja Sur, Mexico. After hurricane season, they will continue south and west for an adventure of a lifetime. “ We’re excited, anxious, and curious about how we will adapt to this new life,” says Rich as the dock lines were cut. Rich and Lynn are hopeful this will be their “Cruise to Infirmity” as he calls it, and they will cruise till as long as their health holds out. Marine Servicenter is happy and proud to have helped them along the path to their dreams. They bought their Valiant 42 from Dan Krier at our Seattle brokerage, and the boat yard in Anacortes refit the boat with new electronics, genset, water maker, and all kinds of new deck hardware. FELLOWSHIP is now a hardy, seaworthy and thoroughly updated vessel, ready to tackle on the oceans of the world.
