2013 Boats Afloat Show

Wed, 09/11/2013 to Sun, 09/15/2013

Welcome to the 35th Annual Boats Afloat Show

Seattle's 35th annual Lake Union Boats Afloat Show gets underway on Wednesday, September 11 and continues through Sunday, September 15. This exciting show brings you all the best of boating in one place on beautiful South Lake Union in sunny September. There will be dozens of different yacht brands, nearly 200 new and used boats in every size and price, as well as boating equipment of all kinds.

Dear readers, the call of the sea is coming. Consequently, this blog will stop for a few weeks, but we will be back mid-September for the fall boat shows. For those who are lucky enough to go sailing, do not hesitate to take pictures. I would be happy to publish them on the blog to help cheering up during winter.

Be Prepared! by Lagoon Inside

The notions of safety and comfort onboard a blue water cruising boat are always something very personal. Indeed, two boats making the same trip will not necessarily have the same equipment!

François, a very pleasant Lagoon 400 owner, plans to join the Mediterranean to sail several months a year. But before that he wants to test himself and his crew on the occasion of the famous “ARC” transatlantic rally. He recently asked me for advice on preparing his Lagoon in terms of equipment and safety.

BLUE WATER SAILING Magazine reviews the Jeanneau 469

BLUE WATER SAILING Magazine - August 2013
"Last February, after the Miami Strictly Sail boat show at Miamarina, we had a chance to spend a couple of hours sailing the new Sun Odyssey 469 that had been introduced at the show in the tropical waters off Miami Beach. We joined Jeanneau America’s President Paul Fenn and Erik Stromberg, Jeanneau’s Sailboat Product Manager, at the Miami Beach Marina and when we got underway we fired up the 75 horsepower Yanmar and motored smartly out through Government Cut to the open ocean."

10,000 Mile Delivery Trip on a Lagoon 450

"Congratulations from Naos Yacht sales to Brian Fitzpatrick and his mate Andrew Starr. They just completed a long journey together from France to California. Brian bought a Lagoon 450 one year ago precisely to bring it back to America. They crossed more than 20 countries during their trip, which made them discover many parts of the world indeed: France, Spain, Portugal, Canary Islands, Santa Lucia, Saint Vincent, the Grenadines, Martinique, Guadeloupe, Venezuela, Colombia, Dutch ABCs, San Blas Islands, Bolivia, Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, Guatemala, Mexico, USA."
