Boats We Love: Blue Jacket 40 - by BOATS.COM

"A sailboat that’s perfect for the Pacific Northwest

Seattle is a magnificent place to sail. The San Juan and Gulf Islands have a stunning natural beauty: lots of islands, rugged shorelines, towering firs and narrow passages. Add to this the prevailingly light summer northerlies and the occasional log in the water, and our sailboats need several features to be truly loved: performance, comfort, and structural integrity, all in an attractive package of course. The Blue Jacket 40 has them all."

Final day of the 2014 Show will be Saturday, February 1 at both Show locations

How about that game last night? :) With the Seattle Seahawks playing in the Super Bowl on Sunday, February 2, the Seattle Boat Show is calling an audible and closing one day early. Lagoon 52 at Düsseldorf Boat Show - Did you say “Impossible”?

When a part of the Lagoon team decided in a meeting 8 months ago that we would exhibit a Lagoon 52 at the Düsseldorf show in 2014, quite a few people had doubts about it!

As a matter of fact, difficulties were plenty: to find the right partners, a 8,60 m beam and an almost 7 meter air draft with a bimini, a specific craning out of the Rhine river as the organiser’s travelift is not wide enough for such a beam, not forgetting of course a 5 knot current !

The Lagoon 39 elected "Best Boat" by the US magazine SAIL

"The Lagoon 39 was a favorite among the SAIL judges (in the 31' to 40' multihull category) for a variety of reasons, including its innovative design, sound construction, good systems and fine sailing qualities, all topped off by the fact of its simply being a handsome vessel."
